OD on Oneness of Literature.

"All literatures are connected with each other. All those works which are already written, those being written and those yet to witten. To understand a work of art, one must have an understanding of this continuity."

                             -Northrope Frye

Northorpe Frye  talks about the oneness of all literature in his essay 'The Archetypal criticism '. He want to say that DNA of all literature is same. The oneness of literature is because the writers write it on the base of historical sense and writers also shows their's  own feelings, emotions and problems with various types of archetypal symbols. So, this sameness or oneness of literature we found in this above lines and the short story ' A Joke' by Anton Chakhov '. In this both we find many similarities like, atmosphere, situations, recall of the past memories and the theme of love. This are the main similarities we found in the short story ' A Joke' and a poem 'The Barial of the Dead '.

'A Joke' by Russian writer Anton Chakhov ane Eliot's poem both are many similar. Main character of short story Nadia and main character of poem is Marie. Both recalled their memory, its all about physical attraction and love towards opposite gender. The symbols like mountains, snow are used similar in both. In the short story we find that there is no true love , because if the speaker love Nadia,  than why he had not express his love towards Nadia and also at the end of the novel he said that why he made joke with Nadia. In the poem we find that Marie attract towards his cousin and this is happend in childhood.  So, we can say that it is only physical attraction towards opposite gender and it is lust, not love. The lines of Marie's cousin,'hold me tight', is show the lust and sexually attraction. So, in the poem and short story, we find oneness or similarities of literature.

Long Poem "The Wasteland" by T.S.Eliot Covers Various topics and myths. A very deep meaning is carried inside of every line of its.

Some lines of the poem " The Wasteland" holds the theme of Anton Chekhov's Short-Story: "A Joke"

So, in short we can say as per Northorpe Frye's essay on 'Archetypal Criticism' about oneness of literature,  that the symbols, emotions, conditions, feelings etc. made literature similar, because writers write on base of historical sense and that's why we find oneness of world's all literature.

How Literature Shaped Me?

L .. .I...T...E...R..A.. . T . ..U . ..R . ..E . .. is not just a word; it’s an Emotion for all those who studies it and interested in it. There is significance of literature in one’s whole life. Lullaby sung by mother for her child is a kind of literature; there is wedding songs and funeral hymns too. It doesn’t matter whether it is written or not because it can be considered as folk literature. For me very base of my interest in literature is my reading habit - gift from my Grandfather. For me there should be something to read; it doesn’t matter about What it is?  I like to find myself surrounded by words; whether it is of Fantasy, Fact or of Emotion. Reading habit has cultivated my thinking capacity. The more I read the more I became mature. Yes, there was a time when I was very sticky to my thoughts; because that was the time when I only knew to read not to apply it in day to day life; I knew about Idealism but my...
