        Meaning of word METAPHYSICAL : Beyond Physical
         

        Defination :

                             As above mentioned,the meaning of Metaphysical is Beyond Physical.The word Metaphysical Poetry is given by Samuel Johnson.

                                          

                                       Metaphysical Poetry known as the "School of John Donne" because Donne was the pioneer.And he had established trend for writing poetry.

                           Samuel Johnson has used this term in Nagative sense but later on it became a term of appraisal,For the Poetry of Donne and his followers.

Characteristics of Metaphysical Poetry :

1) Consions Attempt,

2) Exaggereted often Out Landish Imagery,

3) Little bit different from normal poetry,

4) Highly Intellectualized or Written in Scholarly way,

5) Use of Frequent Paradox,

6) Full of extremly complicated thoughts,

7) Strange Imagery.

Analysis Of Metaphysical Poetry : 
                      
                           " Death Be Not Proud "

                                      

         " Death Be Not Proud " is a 10th Holy Sonnet by John Donne.This Metaphysical Poem is an argument against Death.In this Poem Poet addreses Death as Person,and says that such power is merely an Illusion.

    

               The poet tales Death Not to Be Proud because it has nothing with to be Proud,genrally People thought that Death is very Dengerous and Powerful but fact is that Death is neither Dangerous nor Powerful.

     

                          Poet also mentions that Death has no Capacity to kill,Poet describes Death as Person's time of enjoying Rest or Sleep.Poet also says that even great people gone with Death.so,there is nothing to be afraid of it.

             

                At the end Poet's opinion that Mother's Charm causes sleep to us in a better way.Than the Death causes sleep simply,with one stroke.so,there is nothing to Be Proud for Death.If we accept Death in this manner, than Death would be No More; Death itself would be Die.
